Wonderful news is that the REDBILLED OX-PECKERS (Buphagus erythrorhynchus) are still very much around and were observed feasting on the ticks plaguing the BUFFALO (Syncerus caffer).

Sibuya Game Reserve
At all times of the year there are flowers blooming at SIBUYA. During October the COAST CORAL - TREES (Erythrina caffra) were spectacular with their rich vermillion flowers attracting birds and animals alike. Nick even spotted a BUSHBUCK doe (Tragelaphus scriptus)munching on some flowers which had fallen to the ground.

Flora
Virtually the whole year round SIBUYA has flowers adding interest and colour to the landscape... even in the middle of winter! At the moment the forest margins and woodlands are festooned with pungently scented yellow flowers belonging to succulent creepers and shrubs, Senecio brachypodus and Senecio tamoides - CANARY CREEPER.
